Method
- Brown the sausage in a heavy bottom skillet.
- When the meat is cooked thorugh, sprinkle with flour and stir for 1-2 minutes until flour is incorporated.
- Slowly pour in chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat and continue to stir until milk and broth begin to steam and gravy thickens.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately over biscuits.
Notes
Adding chicken broth adds a depth to the flavor, but you can substitute milk for the broth, if needed.
