Healthy Homemade Hot Chocolate

Rich and creamy, this healthy homemade is simple to whip up and is the perfect winter time treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla (just a splash, really)
  • pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Heat the milk on the stove top or microwave until it begins to steam.
  2. Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt and whisk until smooth.
  3. Continue to heat until it steams and is hot, but not simmering.
  4. Remove from heat, top with marshmallows, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

This recipe makes one serving. Multiply ingredients according to how many cups you want to make.
