Cranberry Orange Scones

Buttery and flaky, these cranberry orange scones will be one of your favorite holiday recipes for years to come.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 TB honey
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup half-and-half
  • 1 egg
  • grated peel from one orange

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cut in butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 
  3. Add chopped cranberries and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Add honey, egg, orange, juice, half-and-half, and orange peel and stir until combined. 
  5. Dump onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a circle, about 8-10 inches across.
  6. Cut into 8 wedges. Place on a baking sheet or stone and bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
